Shocking Forensic Revelation: Cocaine Residue Confirmed in High-Stakes NDPS Case
Kochi City police are investigating an NDPS Act case involving Omprakash, known for multiple offenses, and have now confirmed that cocaine was found in residue recovered from a zip cover in his hotel room in Kundannoor last month. However, the minimal amount of cocaine seized prevents the police from pursuing non-bailable charges or canceling the bail of Omprakash and two others arrested in the case: Shihas from Kollam and Binu Joseph after being identified in the same hotel. The arrests followed intelligence that the trio was smuggling cocaine for DJ parties across several districts, including Ernakulam. Media attention increased when it was revealed that actors Sreenath Bhasi and Prayaga Martin were among 20 visitors to the accused’s hotel rooms, leading to extensive police questioning. Despite Omprakash’s alleged use of aliases for booking hotel rooms to evade detection, all three accused secured bail. The investigation continues amid speculation about further involvement in smuggling activities.
