Urgent Plea Ignored: Locals Rally for Immediate Repairs on Blocked Jatanbari-Karbook Route

Residents of Jatanbari and Karbook have taken to the streets in protest over the neglected condition of a critical six-kilometer road stretch between Korbook Nabjoypara and Sembua, Chelagang. The road, last renovated in 2014, serves as a vital link for thousands of residents across several villages. However, years of neglect have rendered it nearly impassable, turning everyday travel into a significant challenge.

The demonstration saw locals blocking the main road, expressing their frustration with unfulfilled promises from local authorities. Despite repeated appeals to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) over the last six years, villagers report receiving only assurances that repairs would commence soon, but no action has been taken.
