Shocking Bust: BSF Seizes Yaba Tablets Worth Rs 40 Lakh at Tripura’s International Border!
In a significant anti-smuggling operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura intercepted 4,000 Yaba tablets valued at Rs 40 lakh near the Indo-Bangladesh border on November 9. Acting on precise intelligence, BSF troops successfully foiled the smuggling attempt, underscoring their continuous efforts to secure the region and curb illegal activities.
This successful interdiction is part of a series of recent operations by the BSF aiming to thwart cross-border crime. Earlier in the week, BSF personnel in Tripura, responding to specific information, disrupted various smuggling attempts along the border. In these operations, they rescued 12 cattle ensnared in smuggling efforts.
In addition, the BSF seized a considerable amount of other contraband items, including 7.5 kg of Ganja, 750 kg of sugar, and 46 bottles of Phensedyl. These items, collectively valued at Rs 46,09,615, highlight the scale and diversity of smuggling activities targeting the region.
The BSF’s proactive efforts highlight the ongoing challenges of border security while demonstrating the force’s commitment to preventing illegal trade and maintaining peace along the Indo-Bangladesh border. The authorities continue to enhance surveillance and intelligence operations to protect national borders from such threats.
