Dutch Bros CEO Unveils Ambitious and Exciting Cross-Country Expansion Plans
Dutch Bros. CEO Christine Barone outlined the coffee chain’s strategic expansion across the United States in an interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer. While the Oregon-based company is focusing on gradual, contiguous growth across adjacent states, entry into the Northeast will be delayed. Recently launching in Florida, Dutch Bros. now operates in 18 states including California, Arizona, and Texas. The company, which went public in 2021, has seen its stock rise nearly 49% year-to-date, with a solid quarter report boosting shares by over 28% on Thursday and an additional 5% on Friday.
Barone emphasized the importance of workforce growth, noting that Dutch Bros. received 400,000 applications for 11,000 positions this year. Looking ahead, the company aims to open at least 160 new locations by 2025. Dutch Bros.’ product strategy focuses on iced and personalized beverages, a core aspect of its brand since inception.
