Exciting Launch: IndiGo Begins Thrilling Flight Operations from Charming Puducherry on December 20!

IndiGo Airlines is set to commence flight operations from Puducherry Airport starting December 20, as announced by K. Rajasehar Reddy, Director of Puducherry Airport, Airports Authority of India. Initially, the airline will offer services to Hyderabad and Bengaluru using ATR-72 aircraft. This move aims to boost passenger convenience and accessibility, providing opportunities for seamless travel to various destinations both domestically and internationally. The new operations are anticipated to enhance Puducherry’s tourism sector significantly.

Previously, SpiceJet offered daily flights between Puducherry and the two cities, but suspended these services in March. The government has urged IndiGo to consider launching flights to additional destinations, enhancing connectivity within southern India. This initiative underscores a commitment to strengthen air links and stimulate regional growth.
