RBI Shines on 90th Anniversary: C Edge College Triumphs in Thrilling Nagaland RBI90 Quiz
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) commemorates its 90th anniversary with the RBI90Quiz, a national general knowledge competition targeting undergraduate students. This event celebrates the RBI’s nine-decade legacy and garners widespread participation from colleges throughout India. The RBI90Quiz is structured as a team-based contest, progressing through multiple stages. After the initial online round from September 19 to 21, top-scoring teams moved on to state-level competitions conducted in each participating region.
The Nagaland state-level contest took place at RCEMPA in Jotsoma, Kohima, on November 6, featuring 82 students forming 41 teams from various colleges. In a contest characterized by rigorous competition and impressive displays of knowledge, C-Edge College emerged victorious with team members Thejasikho Vakha and Lachimbah claiming first place. Tetso College, represented by Lentinchon Luke Hangshing and Bishal Das, secured second place, while Dimapur Government College, featuring Akolendang and Aghato K Chophy, took third place.
Victorious teams received significant cash rewards: Rs. 2 lakh for the winners, Rs. 1.5 lakh for the runners-up, and Rs. 1 lakh for third place. With their win, C-Edge College advances to the Zonal round slated for November 29. The national finals of the RBI90Quiz are scheduled to unfold in Mumbai in December 2024, promising to bring together some of India’s brightest academic talents.
This engaging and competitive event not only spotlights the scholarly abilities of participating students but also underscores RBI’s ongoing commitment to educational initiatives. As the competition advances to its concluding stages, it continues to generate excitement and anticipation among students nationwide.
