The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on the 24th and 25th of this month. This marks the second consecutive year that the auction is held abroad, following Dubai’s hosting of the IPL 2024 auction.

This year’s auction will see 1,574 cricketers entering the fray, comprising 1,165 Indian players and 409 international talents. Franchises are vying to select players to create their ideal squads, with a maximum of 25 players, including those already retained. With only 204 slots up for grabs, competition is fierce among the 10 franchises, who have a combined budget of approximately 641.5 crore rupees.

As anticipation builds, teams will strategically vie for key players, analyzing skill sets and planning combinations that could bring them glory in IPL 2025.
