Amit Shah’s Bold Revelation: BJP’s Vision for Jharkhand Sparks Passionate Response on Tribal Exclusion in UCC Manifesto
During the BJP’s manifesto release in Ranchi, Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled significant promises for Jharkhand, emphasizing the introduction of a Uniform Civil Code while ensuring that tribal communities will be exempt from its application. Shah assured, “The identity and heritage of tribal communities will be fully preserved.”
Marking Jharkhand’s 25th year since formation, the manifesto details 25 commitments, including the expulsion of Bangladeshi infiltrators and restitution of tribal lands. Shah criticized current Chief Minister Hemant Soren for failing to ensure women’s safety in the state.
Women were a focal point in the BJP’s proposals, with the announcement of the ‘Gogo Didi scheme,’ offering Rs 2,100 monthly to them. The party also pledged LPG cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs 500, with complimentary cylinders during Diwali and Rakshabandhan.
Employment generation is prioritized, with promises of 287,000 government jobs and 500,000 self-employment opportunities. Additionally, the manifesto includes a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 for youth, valid for two years.
Addressing housing needs, the manifesto promises 21 lakh families access to concrete homes with tap water connections. Shah strongly condemned corruption, specifically targeting examination paper leaks, and vowed strict action against offenders.
With the two-phase assembly elections set for November 13 and 20 and vote counting on November 23, the BJP has clearly set its sights on addressing key issues and garnering support across various segments of Jharkhand’s population. The comprehensive promises signal an aggressive campaign strategy aiming to sway voters amidst criticism of the current administration.
