In a major anti-narcotics operation, Assam Police have successfully intercepted a large haul of illegal Yaba tablets in Karbi Anglong. The operation, conducted on October 31 at Naka Point in Dilai Tiniali, was based on precise intelligence that led law enforcement officials to stop a suspicious vehicle. Upon inspection, officers discovered 25 bundles of suspected Yaba tablets, amounting to approximately 50,000 pills and weighing 5.302 kg. One person was arrested at the scene, marking another significant arrest in Assam’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the police force’s efforts, particularly the Karbi Anglong Police team, through social media platform X.
