The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Nagaland has unveiled the draft photo electoral roll for 2025, marking its release on October 29, 2024. This comprehensive draft includes all 60 Assembly Constituencies in the state, meticulously managed by the respective Electoral Registration Officers.
The draft roll reveals a total of 1,331,555 registered voters. This comprises 659,264 male and 664,965 female electors, alongside 2 third-gender electors. Moreover, the roll accounts for 7,324 service electors, with 7,209 males and 115 females. Nagaland boasts an Electors-Population (EP) ratio of 534, and an elector gender ratio of 1009, indicating a balanced voter representation.
Citizens have from October 29 to November 28, 2024, to file claims and objections concerning the draft electoral roll. To streamline this procedure, special camps are organized at polling stations on November 8, 9, 22, and 23, 2024. During these camps, citizens can submit claims and objections to the Booth Level Officer or the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO).
To ensure ease of access, forms are available for download from the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the CEO Nagaland’s websites. Additionally, voters can submit applications online via the ECI’s voter portal or the Voter Helpline App (VHA), available on Google Play Store and Apple Store.
The CEO’s office has made the draft electoral rolls for 2025 available on its official website, ceo.nagaland.gov.in. The process culminates with the final photo electoral roll being published on January 10, 2025.
