Shocking Betrayal: Canada Backstabs India as Khalistan Exposed as Criminal Enterprise, Declares Recalled Envoy Sanjay Verma
In a recent interview with PTI, Sanjay Verma, the recently recalled Indian High Commissioner to Canada, criticized Canada’s handling of diplomatic relations as “the pits,” describing the situation as a betrayal. Verma, who returned to India after being declared a “person of interest” in a Canadian investigation, accused Canada of turning a blind eye to the criminal activities of Khalistani supporters, who he claims have transformed their ideology into a criminal enterprise involving human trafficking and gun-running. This special interest group, comprising a small but vocal segment of about 10,000 extremists within Canada’s Sikh population, purportedly intimidates others while serving as an electoral asset for local politicians.
Verma expressed disappointment over being approached by Global Affairs Canada regarding the investigation without prior diplomatic engagements. On October 12 at Toronto airport, he was informed of the investigation and requested to waive diplomatic immunity, a request he perceived as a manifestation of distrust and an unprecedented move in diplomatic relations. Despite the disruption to what had been a productive bilateral relationship, Verma maintained composure, insisting he showed no signs of emotional distress during the exchange. He underscored that both India and Canada, as democracies with significant diaspora and trade ties, had previously maintained strong relations, making the unfolding events particularly shocking. The interview offers a detailed account of the diplomatic tensions and Verma’s stance on the evolving crisis.
