Manipur Police and Assam Rifles Seize Arms Cache in Joint Operation
In a well-coordinated operation, Manipur Police and Assam Rifles successfully raided a hideout of armed militants in Thoubal district, Manipur. This joint action took place early Saturday morning in the Irong Hill range near Nongpok Sekmai, following credible intelligence about suspicious activities in the area.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial cache of weapons and explosives. Upon the arrival of security forces, the armed suspects fled the scene, abandoning the arsenal. The cache included one 9mm pistol, four high explosive grenades of Chinese origin, twelve live rounds of ammunition, one detonator, four empty magazines, one smoke grenade, a 38mm anti-riot cartridge with a rubber bullet, and a stinger cartridge.
