He reiterated the goal of Mission Karmayogi to develop human resources that drive national development and expressed satisfaction with the progress made. Modi noted that the lessons from National Learning Week would strengthen governmental operations and contribute toward achieving a developed India by 2047. Reflecting on a decade of efforts to shift governmental mindsets, Modi credited initiatives like Mission Karmayogi for their palpable impact on administrative efficacy and public perception.
Modi also stressed the equalizing power of the digital revolution and social media in information dissemination. This makes it crucial for civil servants to stay informed about technological advancements to meet rising standards. He applauded the iGOT platform, where over 40 lakh government employees have registered, and recognized the completion of 1.5 crore course certificates. The platform, offering over 1,400 courses, exemplifies the government’s commitment to continuous learning.
Citing civil services training institutions as isolated, he advocated for increased collaboration and the sharing of best practices within the entire governmental framework. Modi called for these institutions to adopt a holistic government approach. Launched in September 2020, Mission Karmayogi aims to create a future-ready civil service with an Indian ethos and global outlook. The National Learning Week seeks to boost capacity development among civil servants, promoting lifelong learning and aligning with national goals.
