Chief Minister Pema Khandu has lauded the remarkable achievements of three athletes from Arunachal Pradesh, who have recently captured bronze medals at the 8th Senior Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2024 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Expressing his pride, Khandu took to the social media platform X to commend Likha Aku, Meta Pao, and Damsop Tungi, stating, “Wow! Asian Pencak Silat Championship Bronze medalists Likha Aku, Meta Pao, and Damsop Tungi truly deserve a hero’s welcome.” The event concluded on October 16, marking a historic achievement as it was the first time athletes from Arunachal Pradesh represented India in this esteemed competition.
