Awe-Inspiring Rescue: Enormous 6-Foot Python Captured in Barpeta’s Sutiyapara Stuns Massive Crowd
In a surprising event that captivated the town, a six-foot python was discovered in the village of Sutiyapara, Barpeta district, Assam. The reptile, resting on a bamboo tree near a pond on the village outskirts, was first spotted by local residents. This led to a swift congregation of thousands of onlookers eager to witness the unusual sight.
The encounter occurred in the early morning when villagers detected the snake coiled within the bamboo branches. Concerned yet fascinated, they sought assistance from Manjit Pathak, a local who spearheaded the python’s rescue. With help from fellow villagers, Manjit safely extracted the snake.
News of the python’s presence rapidly circulated, attracting crowds from neighboring areas and turning the incident into a spectacle. Despite the non-venomous nature of the snake, villagers were apprehensive about its proximity to human dwellings. After its successful rescue, the python was transferred to the Bahari Forest Department officials for further inspection and relocation.
The forest department confirmed the python was healthy and applauded the community’s prompt and humane efforts in securing the snake without harm. Subsequently, the python was relocated to a safer environment, away from human settlement.
