Urgent: UK Urges India to Actively Engage with Canada’s Legal Process Amid Intensifying Dispute
Britain and its Five Eyes intelligence allies called for India to cooperate with Canada’s legal processes amid escalating diplomatic tensions following accusations of Indian involvement in the murder of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. The UK emphasized confidence in Canada’s judicial system, following discussions between UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Australia and New Zealand affirmed respect for Canada’s judicial process, while the US highlighted the seriousness of the allegations but refrained from commenting on ongoing investigations.
