Empowering Unity: BTC CEM Pramod Boro’s Inspiring Meet with Booth-Level Leaders in Chirang District
UPPL’s Pramod Boro Gears Up for Sidli By-Polls, Candidates Yet to Be Announced
KOKRAJHAR: In anticipation of the upcoming by-elections in the Sidli (ST) assembly constituency, Pramod Boro, president of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), held a strategic meeting on Monday with booth-level leaders and workers in Kajalgaon, Chirang district.
Boro presided over the discussions, focusing on ensuring robust preparation for the by-polls. His confidence was buoyed by the energy and enthusiasm demonstrated by party members, fueling his optimism about an impending victory for the UPPL. He was hopeful about the prospects of an alliance-driven success, noting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), UPPL, and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) coalition would capture all five assembly constituencies contested in the upcoming by-elections.
Despite this optimism, candidates for the Sidli leg of the by-polls remain officially unannounced by the UPPL, the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), and the Congress. However, it is speculated that the BPF might field Sudha Basumatary, a prominent entrepreneur and staunch supporter, while the Chirang district Congress Committee president, Danjib Wary, is being considered as a potential candidate for the Congress.
As these parties complete their preparations, political observers remain attentive to forthcoming announcements and the evolving dynamics of the electoral race in Sidli.
