Zoom Excitingly Appoints Renowned Microsoft Veteran Michelle Chang as CFO to Revolutionize Financial Strategy | Tech News
Zoom Video Communications announced the appointment of Michelle Chang, a veteran executive from Microsoft, as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective October 7. Chang, who has been with Microsoft since April 2000 and most recently served as CFO for its Commercial Sales & Partner Organization, will report directly to Zoom founder and CEO Eric Yuan. She succeeds Kelly Steckelberg, who is stepping down but will remain as an advisor until the third-quarter results are announced. Steckelberg played a pivotal role in guiding Zoom through its successful IPO in 2019.
Zoom, headquartered in San Jose, California, continues to enhance its video-conferencing products with artificial intelligence to meet the evolving needs of hybrid work environments. The company’s strategic efforts are yielding positive results, evidenced by an upward revision of its annual revenue forecast announced last month.
