NIA Cracks Down: Three More Charged in Alarming Rise of Maoist Ideology in Assam
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against three individuals, including an absconder, for promoting the violent ideology of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) in Assam. These individuals have been accused of disseminating and propagating Maoist ideology to incite violent revolution as part of an anti-India conspiracy.
The charge sheet identifies Sabyasachi Goswami, a lifetime member and central committee member of CPI (Maoist), also known by several aliases including Kishore and Bikash da. Additionally, Amiruddin Ahmed, alias Amiruddin Laskar, and the absconding Nirmala Biswas, also known as Nirmala Devi, have been charged.
The NIA’s investigation has revealed that these individuals, along with other members and cadres of CPI (Maoist), were engaged in a concerted effort to spread Maoist ideology and incite violence in Assam. This activity poses a significant threat to national security.
The NIA continues to gather evidence and follow leads to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
