ITC Group Hosts Panel Discussion on Child’s Imagination at St. Joseph’s School
Bengaluru: The ITC Group recently held a panel discussion titled "The Importance of Igniting a Child’s Imagination" at St. Joseph’s School. The event marked the launch of a bus featuring a LiDAR screen designed to inspire children’s creativity through technological interventions.
Key figures in the discussion included renowned scientist and former ISRO director Prakasha Rao, ITC’s COO of Biscuits & Cakes Ali Harris Shere, child psychiatrist Dr. Megha Mahajan, film personality Mandira Bedi, and Fr. Rohan D’Almeida SJ, Principal of St. Joseph’s School.
Mandira Bedi shared her insights on the imaginative challenges she encounters as a mother. "It’s amazing to see my eight-year-old daughter’s imagination flourish daily, while my thirteen-year-old son has become more grounded in reality," she remarked. Dr. Mahajan delved into the science behind imagination, while Fr. D’Almeida emphasized the importance of imaginative efforts by teachers and parents in fostering child development.
Ali Harris Shere introduced ITC’s "Fantasy Spaceship" initiative—a bus equipped with interactive screens set to tour schools across India, promoting a creative and imaginative environment for children.
