Arunachal Government’s Bold Shake-Up: Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle to Boost Administrative Efficiency
The government of Arunachal Pradesh has undertaken a major reshuffle in its bureaucracy, transferring key officials across various departments to bring fresh perspectives and efficiencies to administrative functions.
Mimum Tayeng, previously the Secretary of Women and Child Development, has been reassigned as the Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs, taking over from SD Sunderasan. Nyali Ete, who is currently the Secretary of Urban Development, Housing, and Town Planning, will join the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB), succeeding KK Singh, while also retaining his role as Secretary of Information and Public Relations (IPR).
In a significant move, Krishna Kr Singh, the outgoing Health Secretary, will now serve as the APSSB Secretary, replacing D Varma. Ira Singhal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tirap district, will step into the role of Health Secretary. Additionally, Shasvat Sourabh, the DC of Lohit district, has been appointed as the new Transport Secretary.
Further changes include KN Damo, the previous Director of Tourism, becoming the Deputy Commissioner of Lohit district. JT Obi, who served as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Deomali, has been named the new Deputy Commissioner of Kamle. Techu Aran, the Commissioner of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation, will assume the position of Deputy Commissioner of Tirap district.
Moreover, B Tawsik, formerly the ADC of Kanubari, has been transferred to serve as the ADC of Deomali. Kunal Yadav, the former ADC of Tezu, will replace Tawsik as the ADC of Kanubari.
This strategic reshuffle reflects the government’s intent to enhance administrative effectiveness and inject new energy into its bureaucratic machinery.
