Unstoppable Surge: India’s Benchmark Indices Hit Record-Breaking Highs, Sparking Unprecedented Optimism

India’s benchmark indices soared to unprecedented heights in today’s trading session, propelled by robust global cues. The Sensex surged to a new lifetime peak of 84,980 before settling above 84,900, and the Nifty achieved a record high of 25,956, closing the day with over a half-percentage point gain.

At the close of trading, the Sensex had risen by 384 points, or 0.4 percent, to finish at 84,928. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty was up 148 points, or 0.5 percent, ending at 25,939.

Reflecting the overall positive sentiment in the equity market, the broader market indices at BSE also posted gains. Both the MidCap and SmallCap indices increased by 0.73 percent each.
