ITANAGAR: The Ziro Music Festival returns to the picturesque Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, blending nature and artistry with soul-stirring melodies and rhythms. Founded in 2012, this iconic event has become a beacon for Indian and international indie music, celebrating sustainability, community, and cultural diversity. Regarded as India’s premier outdoor festival, it highlights indigenous and Northeastern artistes, while featuring global talents.
Scheduled from September 26 to 29, the festival promises an exhilarating experience with foot-tapping indie beats, cultural vibrancy, open-air concerts, and traditional cuisine. Ticket prices, which cover only festival entry, are fixed at Rs 8,500 for a four-day pass, Rs 2,600 for Day 1, and Rs 3,500 per day for Days 2 to 4.
The 2024 edition boasts an impressive lineup, including local acts like Dobom Doji Collective (Arunachal Pradesh), Fakira (Kolkata), Gowwli (Kerala), Hanita Bhambri (Mumbai), and Pink Moss (Goa). International artists such as Amateur Takes Control (Singapore), Saskia Laroo (Netherlands), and The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band (Thailand) will also grace the stage.
Ziro Valley lies roughly 103 kilometers from Itanagar, accessible via a 2-hour 48-minute road trip, or 124 kilometers from Donyi Polo Airport. Shared taxis or jeeps from Itanagar, or direct cabs from the airport, offer convenient travel options.
Showcasing a range of genres from folk to rock and electronic to traditional music, this festival promises an unforgettable experience for attendees.
