Urgent Accountability: Congress Govt Owes People Answers on Six Guarantees – Bandi Sanjay Demands Clarity
Union Minister of State for Home and former Telangana party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has criticized the Congress government for failing to implement the six guarantees promised during the Assembly elections. Speaking at a press conference at the State office on Tuesday, Kumar contrasted this with the Modi government’s multitude of achievements in its first 100 days of its third term, highlighting that the Congress administration has been unable to deliver on its promises despite being in power for nine months. He warned that people would remember this failure and hold the government accountable.
Kumar also expressed disappointment over the state government’s refusal to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day, attributing it to ‘vote bank politics.’ He emphasized that the struggle was a people’s movement against the Nizam’s despotic rule and not targeted at any particular group or religion. He lauded former MLC Guduru Narayana Reddy for the ‘Razakar’ movie, which he said unveiled the true history of the freedom struggle. Emphasizing the inclusive nature of the movement, Kumar mentioned that diverse communities participated in the fight against the Nizam’s forces. He thanked PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and colleague Mr. Kishan Reddy for their support in officially recognizing Liberation Day, and assured that the Centre is ready to cooperate if the state decides to celebrate the event.
