Empowering Dreams: Arunachal Governor Champions Youth-Driven Sustainable Development
Governor Parnaik Highlights Arunachal Pradesh’s SDG Initiatives to RRU Students
Arunachal Pradesh Governor, Lt Gen (retd) K T Parnaik, announced that the state is making significant strides towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During a visit to Raj Bhavan, he spoke with students from Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), discussing the progress and obstacles in vital sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, and tourism.
The RRU students, part of a two-week educational tour, recently visited Zemithang, a border village in Tawang district. Governor Parnaik underscored the abundance of natural resources in Arunachal Pradesh and highlighted several ongoing infrastructure projects crucial to the state’s development. He praised the partnership between RRU and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) for organizing the tour and called for more student exchange programs. These initiatives, he argued, would stimulate entrepreneurship, create startup opportunities, and increase awareness about the state.
Parnaik urged the students to prepare for future leadership roles, aligning their efforts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. He emphasized that while the current leadership is steering progress, it is the youth who will bring this vision to fruition.
The session included briefings from ITBP NE Frontier headquarters DIG Shendil Kumar, School of Internal Security and SMART Policing TM Commandant Devansh Trivedi, and faculty member Latika Grover. These interactions gave insights from 24 students pursuing degrees in Security Management and Police Administration, along with four faculty members who shared their experiences from their village visits in the Tawang sector.
In conclusion, Governor Parnaik’s engagement with the students not only showcased the developmental efforts in Arunachal Pradesh but also inspired the youth to contribute towards a brighter future for India.
