EXCLUSIVE: Unmissable Thrills Await! Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ to Release in Hinglish and Hindi – A True Bollywood Masterpiece
Kareena Kapoor Khan is unstoppable. After her compelling performance in last year’s Netflix hit “Jaane Jaan,” followed by the theatrical success of “Crew,” she’s now returning with “The Buckingham Murders.” The film’s teaser and posters have already created a buzz, and the much-anticipated trailer will drop on September 3.
Bollywood Hungama has obtained exclusive information about the film’s release strategy. Over a week ago, the makers released two teasers: one in English and another in Hindi. According to a close source, the story is set in Buckingham, England, necessitating a mix of English and accented Hindi dialogues for authenticity. To cater to a broader audience, a fully dubbed Hindi version will accompany the original Hinglish version. This approach ensures that viewers not comfortable with English dialogues or accented Hindi can still enjoy the film.
This dual-version strategy mirrors the release of Aamir Khan’s films like “Dhobi Ghat” and “Delhi Belly,” which also featured Hinglish and Hindi versions to maximize reach and box office performance. A trade insider emphasized that this decision aims to attract the widest possible audience, with the distribution company, Pen Marudhar, working to secure optimal theaters for both versions nationwide.
“The Buckingham Murders” is set to hit cinemas exclusively on September 13, 2024. Besides Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film boasts a stellar cast including Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Directed by Hansal Mehta and penned by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, this murder mystery is a collaboration between Mahana Films and TBM Films. It’s presented by Balaji Telefilms and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, marking her debut as a producer.
