Victory for Assam! BJP Leaders Rameswar Teli and Mission Ranjan Das Triumph in Uncontested Rajya Sabha Election

In a notable political achievement, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has clinched both Rajya Sabha seats, with candidates Rameshwar Teli and Mission Ranjan Das triumphing. The election concluded without any contest as the opposition opted not to present any candidates, resulting in an uncontested victory for the BJP.

Election officials have formalized the win by awarding certificates to Teli and Das, thereby confirming their ascension to the Upper House.

This development follows Teli and Das’s submission of their Rajya Sabha nominations on August 21. Commenting on the situation after his nomination, Teli underscored the absence of opposition candidates and suggested that the seats might be secured uncontested, highlighting the BJP’s robust position in the region.
