TMC’s Bold Demand for Transparent Recruitment: Ensuring Fairness and Accountability
TMC Presses Meghalaya Government on Recruitment Integrity
Guwahati: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has called on the Meghalaya government to tackle concerns regarding potential manipulation and nepotism in the state’s recruitment processes. Allegations have been raised about the fairness and transparency of job selections, stirring unease among the youth.
TMC leader Mukul Sangma voiced apprehensions over the government’s handling of these issues, noting that these actions could lead to widespread frustration and doubt among young people.
Recently, the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) came under scrutiny, with questions arising about the legality of reviewing results and granting additional marks. Furthermore, suspicions of nepotism were evident in the District Selection Committee (DSC) results in East Garo Hills, where three family members secured jobs, escalating public outcry.
Sangma also criticized the government for its failure to fill permanent vacancies, which has resulted in recruitment delays and potential financial mismanagement. He emphasized that the recruitment process must be transparent and trustworthy to prevent chaos and lawlessness among job seekers.
The need for urgent reforms in the state’s recruitment system is clear to ensure fairness and restore trust among the populace.
