Heartwarming Celebration in Arunachal: Exceptional Academic Toppers Honoured Across 3 Districts
The inaugural felicitation programme for academic toppers from the Tirap, Changlang, and Longding districts was held on August 21 at the DK Auditorium, Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA), Itanagar. This event recognized the academic achievements of students from State Government Secondary and Higher Secondary schools for the academic sessions 2022-23 and 2023-24.
Twelve top-performing students received a cash prize of Rs 25,000, commendation certificates, and mementos. The programme commenced with a welcome address by the Secretary of DoTCL, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, who lauded the students’ exceptional accomplishments and underscored the pivotal role of education in personal and societal development.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, the chief guest, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering education in the TCL region. He motivated the students to maintain their competitive spirit and resilience, stressing that their academic success is a stepping stone to future opportunities and challenges.
Minister Wangki Lowang, the guest of honour, along with other notable attendees, including Wanglin Lowangdong, HMLA from Borduria-Bogapani AC, emphasized the dual purpose of felicitation programmes: to celebrate meritorious students and to inspire others towards academic excellence.
The event was graced by esteemed Legislative Assembly members from the TCL districts, distinguished guests, proud parents, and representatives of the toppers, highlighting the collective effort toward educational advancement in the region. Chakat Aboh, Advisor to HM (DoTCL), also attended, alongside officers from the TCL districts posted at ICR and other public leaders.
The programme concluded with a palpable sense of pride and optimism, reflecting the state government’s ongoing dedication to nurturing educational excellence in the region.
