Exciting Revelation: Samsung to Elevate Your A-Series with Groundbreaking Galaxy AI Features!
Samsung is reportedly set to extend its Galaxy AI capabilities to more smartphones, including mid-range models in the Galaxy A-series launching in 2024. The expansion will begin with the One UI 6.1.1 update, expected around September or October. Initially, the Galaxy AI features will be available on the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, according to SamMobile.
SamMobile notes that older models won’t receive these AI features, and even among the A-series, not all capabilities will be included. Specifically, features requiring significant on-device processing power may be omitted, as the A-series lacks a chipset with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). For instance, the Instant Slow-Mo feature needs substantial NPU and GPU power to handle 60fps video with a minimum processing speed of 16.6 milliseconds. This is why the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE missed out on this feature despite being equipped with Galaxy AI.
Previously, Galaxy AI was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and expanded to the Galaxy S23 FE and Samsung’s past flagship devices. The latest enhancements in Galaxy AI accompany the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, offering more advanced AI features.
