
Major Bust in Kaliabor: Oil Theft Gang Disbanded, Rs 1 Lakh Seized Along with Vehicles, 5 Arrested – Unmasking the Culprits
In a significant crackdown on oil pilferage, the Kaliabor police in Assam have successfully apprehended five members of a notorious oil theft gang. The arrests, led by the sub-divisional police, resulted in the seizure of two luxury vehicles and Rs 1 lakh in cash. The oil theft occurred in Kaliabor’s Naltali region, and the detained individuals are currently being interrogated at the Uluvani police station. The seized vehicles bear the registration numbers AS12AA 2648 and AS12 This 8977.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Alam Ali from Tezpur Kachari Palm, Jamaluddin from Bagri, Ibrahim Ali from Samguri Khalihammari, Abdul Khalil from Tezpur Bhomoraguri, and Taher Ali from Bagri Harmati. Authorities are actively investigating to uncover the full extent of the gang’s operations and potential connections.
