Recruitment Alert: 18 Positions Open at NEIAH Shillong, Meghalaya

The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH) in Shillong, Meghalaya, is now accepting applications for the recruitment of 18 vacancies across various teaching and non-teaching roles. The positions are available on a contract basis up to March 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension or curtailment based on the discretion of the competent authority.

Available Positions:

1. Professor (Ayurveda)

   • No. of Posts: 5
   • Disciplines: Rasa Shastra, Swasthavritta, Panchakarma, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga, Kaumarabhritta
   • Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda as per IMCC Act, 1970, and five years of teaching/research experience.

2. Associate Professor (Ayurveda)

   • No. of Posts: 3
   • Disciplines: Sharir Kriya Vigyan, Kaumarabhritta, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga
   • Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda with relevant teaching and research experience.

3. Lecturer (Ayurveda)

   • No. of Posts: 1
   • Discipline: Shalakya Tantra
   • Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda.

4. Professor (Homoeopathy)

   • No. of Posts: 4
   • Disciplines: Anatomy, Physiology, Obs & Gynae, Surgery
   • Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy or Medical Degree with extensive teaching and research experience.

5. Reader (Homoeopathy)

   • No. of Posts: 2
   • Disciplines: Anatomy, Physiology
   • Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy or Medical Degree with considerable teaching and research experience.

6. Lecturer (Homoeopathy)

   • No. of Posts: 1
   • Discipline: Pathology & Microbiology
   • Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy or Medical Degree.
7. Nursing Officer / Staff Nurse
   • No. of Posts: 1
   • Qualifications: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing, or equivalent qualifications, with registration and work experience criteria.

Application Process:

Interested candidates should attend the walk-in interview at the Office of the Director, NEIAH, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya-793018 on August 16, 2024, from 10:30 AM onwards. Applicants must bring a filled application form, two passport-sized photos, and original and self-attested photocopies of relevant documents.
