Powerful Meitei Protest Erupts at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, Urging Immediate Centre Action on Manipur Crisis
The Delhi Meetei Coordinating Committee (DMCC) held a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on July 28, urging immediate governmental intervention regarding the ongoing Manipur crisis. Concurrently, a joint protest by the Khwairamband Ima Keithal Joint Coordinating Committee, Image Meira, and the Women’s Wing of the DMCC took place at Hao Ground in Chinga Mathak, Imphal East, along with another demonstration occurring in Bangalore.
These protests represented a unified call for justice and central government intervention to address the conflict in Manipur. Protesters in Delhi expressed deep disappointment over what they perceive as the Prime Minister’s office and the Central Government’s negligence and indecision.
