Chief Ministers’ Meeting: Tripura CM Highlights Progress on Key Government Schemes

Agartala, 28th July 2024: A crucial meeting of Chief Ministers took place in New Delhi to review the progress and implementation of various government schemes.
Tripura Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, presented detailed updates on key initiatives driving the socio-economic development in the state. He emphasized significant advancements under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Gramin), which have provided affordable housing to thousands of urban and rural households in Tripura.
Dr. Saha highlighted the Jal Jeevan Mission, focusing on providing safe and adequate drinking water to every rural household through individual tap connections. He also reported remarkable progress under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, which has expanded health coverage for economically disadvantaged populations, ensuring access to quality healthcare services.
Additionally, the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has seen significant developments, with numerous rural roads being constructed and upgraded to enhance connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation of goods and people in rural areas.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has offered crucial financial support to farmers, boosting agricultural productivity and economic stability. The Kisan Credit Card (Agri), extended to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, has provided farmers accessible credit, promoting diversified and sustainable farming practices.
Dr. Saha also underscored the impact of the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, which has offered life insurance coverage to many citizens, ensuring financial security for their families. He provided updates on other vital schemes, such as the Swamitva scheme, Bharat Net, Soil Health Card, Atal Pension Yojana, and SvaNidhi schemes.
This meeting underscored the ongoing commitment to socio-economic development and the tangible benefits experienced by citizens through these varied initiatives.
