Celebrating 4 Years of NEP 2020 Excellence: Join the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam in Delhi for a Transformative Journey
The Ministry of Education is set to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) with a significant event—the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) 2024—hosted at the Manekshaw Centre Auditorium in New Delhi on Monday. The ABSS 2024 has been designed to rejuvenate the commitment of various stakeholders toward the effective implementation of NEP 2020.
On this notable occasion, Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, will share insights from his experience in leading the implementation of NEP 2020. As part of the celebrations, Mr. Pradhan will inaugurate several pivotal initiatives by the Department of Education. Key among these are dedicated TV channels to support the learning of various Indian languages, aiming to enhance linguistic diversity and educational accessibility. Additionally, Mr. Pradhan will introduce the “10 Bagless Days” Guidelines, an initiative designed to transform learning into a more enjoyable and stress-free experience for school children. The celebration will also feature the unveiling of new Career Guidance Guidelines to assist students in making informed academic and career choices.
Moreover, in a bid to promote the Indian Knowledge Systems among students and educators, Mr. Pradhan will launch a range of books and lecture notes. These resources are intended to enrich the educational landscape by integrating traditional Indian wisdom with contemporary learning.
The anniversary celebration and its associated initiatives underscore the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to achieve the ambitious goals set by NEP 2020, fostering an inclusive, holistic, and forward-thinking education system.
