
Sikkim CM Heartfelt Tribute to Kargil War Heroes on Vijay Diwas: A Nation’s Pride
On the 24th anniversary of India’s triumph in the Kargil War, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang paid tribute to the valiant soldiers who fought in the conflict. In a heartfelt statement on Facebook, Tamang underscored the enduring significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas, marking it as a day of national pride and solemn remembrance.
“It is a day of immense pride and gratitude as we remember the sacrifices made by our soldiers to uphold the integrity of our country,” Tamang expressed in his statement.
The Chief Minister lauded the bravery and resilience displayed by the Indian armed forces during the 1999 Kargil conflict, emphasizing that their heroic actions continue to inspire citizens across the nation. He articulated the profound respect and admiration the nation holds for its defenders, who succeeded in recapturing several strategically important mountain peaks from occupying Pakistani forces.
Tamang extended his recognition to the families of the fallen soldiers, acknowledging their crucial strength and support during and after the war. “Their sacrifices are deeply respected and remembered,” he said, highlighting the collective burden borne by the soldiers’ loved ones.
The Chief Minister concluded his message with a powerful call for national unity and progress. He urged citizens to contribute towards building “a stronger, more secure, and prosperous Bharat,” reflecting a vision of collective growth and resilience.
