Body of Woman Found on Railway Tracks in Assam; Fire Scare Averted on Tripura Sundari Express
In a tragic incident at Pathsala Railway Station in Assam’s Bajali district, the body of Anima Devi from Titka Garia was found on the railway tracks on Wednesday, July 24. The circumstances of her death are still under investigation, as authorities work to determine whether it was an accident or a suicide. Anima Devi’s family expressed their deep shock and grief, urging the police to conduct a thorough probe to uncover the truth behind her untimely demise.
In another development, a potentially disastrous event was averted when a fire scare erupted in one of the coaches of the Tripura Sundari Express, train number 14620, operating on the Firozpur-Agartala route. The incident occurred as the train approached Lumding Junction in Assam. Thanks to the prompt actions of the railway authorities, no passengers were injured, and the situation was quickly brought under control. However, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) later clarified that initial reports suggesting a fire at Lumding Junction were incorrect.
