A tragic incident shook the community of Sekerkote as the body of Pramod Kumar Biswas, a night guard at the local railway station, was discovered near the railway line. His family suspects foul play, alleging that his death was premeditated murder.
Pramod Kumar Biswas, who went to work as usual on Saturday evening, did not return home, and his lifeless body was later found beside the tracks. The shocking news prompted local residents and family members to rush to the scene and inform the Amtali police station. Authorities arrived promptly, recovered the body, and transferred it to the mortuary at Tripura Medical College and Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital in Hapania.
On Sunday morning, the bereaved family, supported by local residents, filed a written complaint at Amtali police station, asserting that Pramod had been deliberately killed. A family member remarked, "The body was not on the tracks; it was found on the side," suggesting foul play.
Pramod’s brother spoke to the media, demanding justice and accountability. "We want the perpetrators to be held accountable for this heinous act," he asserted.
Pramod is survived by his wife and son. The authorities confirmed that his body would be released to the family following the post-mortem examination conducted on Sunday. Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the incident to uncover the truth behind his death.
