Heartbroken Mihir Shah Calls Girlfriend 40 Times After Deadly Accident: Shocking Detainment Looms
In a shocking turn of events, Mihir Shah, the 24-year-old son of Shiv Sena politician Rajesh Shah, has been taken into police custody until July 16 for allegedly being involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Mumbai’s Worli neighborhood. The BMW he was reportedly driving fatally struck 45-year-old Kaveri Nakhwa and injured her husband as they rode a two-wheeler early Sunday morning.
According to law enforcement, Shah was intoxicated during the collision and went to great lengths to evade capture. The prosecution revealed in court that Shah altered his appearance to mislead the authorities. After the accident, it is alleged that the speeding BMW dragged Nakhwa’s body for 1.5 kilometers before Shah switched seats with his driver, Rajrishi Bidawat, and fled the scene in another vehicle. The driver, reversing the BMW, is also said to have run her over.
Bidawat was apprehended on Sunday and remains in custody until July 11. Following his arrest, Rajesh Shah was also briefly detained but released on bail after spending a day in police prison. Law enforcement officials argue that Mihir Shah requires extended custody to determine who assisted in his escape and to locate the missing license plate of the vehicle.
Adding another layer to the investigation, reports suggest Mihir Shah contacted his girlfriend approximately forty times immediately following the incident. He reportedly visited her residence and hailed a car from there, raising questions that might prompt further interrogation.
As the case unfolds, it poses significant questions about political connections and their influence on legal proceedings. The public and authorities alike are keen to see if justice will be served in this high-profile incident that has captured the city’s attention.
