This victory signifies a major triumph for Chawla, who previously finished as the runner-up in the 2017 edition of the tournament.
Adding to India’s success, Malkeet Singh, Vidya Pillai, and Keerthana Pandian secured bronze medals. In the women’s category, Vidya Pillai, who was the defending champion, earned a bronze medal after a challenging semifinal match against Hong Kong’s Ng On Yee, with the final score standing at 2-4.
