HC Urges Two Aspiring Doctors to Pursue Their Dreams and Continue Their Medical Journey with Passion
The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has recommended that the two medical students who recently went missing resume their medical education. This directive follows a Special Investigation Team’s successful efforts to locate the students in Tambaram. Under the supervision of the Madurai Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Madurai, the team determined that the students were working at a Medical Insurance company after their families had opposed their relationship, prompting them to marry and leave home.
A Division Bench consisting of Justices C.V. Karthikeyan and J. Sathya Narayana Prasad reported that the students, after much persuasion, agreed to return to their studies. This case first surfaced when a first-year medical student from Government Medical College, Ariyalur, went missing on May 22, followed by a second-year medical student from Government Medical College, Namakkal, on May 18. Authorities suspected that the pair had jointly decided to leave their homes.
The court acknowledged the commendable efforts of the Special Investigation Team in tracing the students and ensuring the fulfillment of the court’s directives.
