Unstoppable Surge: Over 4 Lakh Citizens Embrace BJP in Tripura, Declares CM Manik Saha
In a significant endorsement for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister Manik Saha lauded the people of Tripura for their enthusiastic participation in the party’s membership drive, which has seen a surge in new members. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Saha highlighted the milestone of over 400,000 citizens joining the BJP since September 3, showcasing the growing momentum of the campaign.
“Tripura joins the nationwide wave! Over 400,000 citizens have joined the @BJPIndia family, soaring our membership drive to new heights,” Saha announced. He encouraged even more citizens to get involved, urging, “Today, we reached out to the public, encouraging all to be a part of our mission. Let’s make it even bigger!”
Thousands of new members have aligned with the BJP in Tripura, reinforcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of grassroots participation and engagement.
Simultaneously, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, bolstered the drive in Assam’s North Bank region, addressing gatherings in Dhemaji and Lakhimpur on September 20. Under Sonowal’s leadership, hundreds of citizens joined the BJP in a daylong campaign. Sonowal called on the public to uphold the path of “Sewa” (service) to society and the nation, a mission emphasized by PM Modi since he became India’s “Pradhan Sewak” (chief servant) in 2014.
The enthusiastic response to the BJP’s membership drive underscores increasing support in the northeastern states, potentially strengthening the party’s base ahead of future political campaigns.
