In Mumbai, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold is Rs 69,590, matching the rates in Kolkata and Hyderabad. In early trade on Monday, the price of 24-carat gold dropped by Rs 10 to Rs 75,920 per ten grams, according to the GoodReturns website. Silver also saw a decline of Rs 100, trading at Rs 92,900 per kilogram.
In other cities, prices for ten grams of 24-carat gold were Rs 76,070 in Delhi, and Rs 75,920 in both Bengaluru and Chennai. The price of ten grams of 22-carat gold in Delhi stood at Rs 69,740, and Rs 69,590 in both Bengaluru and Chennai.
Silver prices per kilogram in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai are uniform at Rs 92,900, while in Chennai, it is Rs 97,900.
US gold prices are nearing record levels, buoyed by the Federal Reserve’s aggressive interest rate cuts and potential future reductions. Spot gold steadied at $2,619.37 per ounce, while US gold futures dipped slightly to $2,643.90. Spot silver fell 0.2% to $31.06 per ounce, platinum decreased 0.8% to $967.81, and palladium dropped 1.3% to $1,053.67.
