Satya Pal Malik Extends Support to MVA, Vows to Campaign Against BJP in Maharashtra Elections
Satya Pal Malik, the former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, affirmed his support for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Malik met with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday to discuss campaign strategies. Known for his critical stance on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Malik announced his intention to actively campaign for the MVA to unseat the BJP in Maharashtra.
Addressing reporters post-meeting, Malik predicted a significant defeat for the BJP, claiming the party would be "wiped out" in the State elections. “Uddhav Thackeray will play the most important role in this election. I have extended my full support to the MVA and will campaign vigorously,” Malik stated. He emphasized the potential national impact of the Maharashtra elections, suggesting that the results could mark the end of BJP’s dominance.
Malik advised the MVA leaders to remain united and hinted at possible strategic adjustments within the alliance to secure victory. Although their discussions briefly touched upon the INDIA bloc, Malik expressed confidence that the MVA would govern Maharashtra after the polls.
