Elon Musk Fires Up Excitement with Exclusive BBQ Bash at Vinod Khosla’s Beach: Calls Out Indian Billionaire’s ‘No Plebs’ Sign
Tech billionaire Elon Musk and Indian venture capitalist Vinod Khosla have engaged in a public social media spat, escalating from a dispute over a public beach to broader ideological conflicts.
The conflict began when Musk posted a picture of a sign labeled “no plebs” that he claimed Khosla had placed on a public beach adjacent to his property. “Wow, so crazy that @vkhosla put this sign on a public beach,” Musk tweeted. He further criticized Khosla’s stance on migrant issues, noting, “Vinod says we should send tens of thousands of unvetted migrants to small towns throughout America, but he didn’t even want to let the public walk on his beach.” Musk even suggested hosting a BBQ party on Khosla’s beach.
In response, Khosla accused Musk of drifting from rational discussion to making baseless claims and engaging in name-calling, insinuating that Musk’s social media tactics were inspired by U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump. Khosla refuted Musk’s claims, stating, “There has NEVER been a dispute on access to the beach (which is public ), just accessing it through private property is illegal. Every court ruling and appeal of the Friends of Martin’s Beach lawsuit we have won that reasserted access through private property is not legal.”
Khosla also called out the California Coastal Commission for bureaucratic hurdles regarding the closure of a paid parking business near the beach, which he claimed they were unable to apply for a permit to close.
The exchange between Musk and Khosla highlights not only their individual disputes but also underscores broader debates around public access, private property, and ideological differences.
