Shah Rukh Khan’s Emotional Reaction to Team India’s T20 WC Victory Parade: ‘Fills My Heart with Pride, Love You All!’
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan praised the Indian cricket team for their triumph in the T20 World Cup, fueling nationwide celebrations as cricket enthusiasts in Mumbai greeted the victorious players in a jubilant parade on Thursday evening. The victory marks India’s first World Cup win in 13 years, achieved by besting South Africa by 7 runs in Barbados.
Reacting to a video of Team India’s exuberant celebration, Khan posted on social media platform X, exclaiming, “Seeing the boys so happy and emotional fills my heart with pride. As Indians, this is such an amazing moment – to see our boys take us to such great heights! Love you all, my Team India… and now dance away all night long. Boys in Blue take away all the blues!” Khan also extended his congratulations to BCCI, Jay Shah, and the entire support staff for their dedication.
The victory parade commenced from NCPA at Nariman Point and moved towards Wankhede Stadium shortly after 7:30 pm. Despite inclement weather, thousands of devoted fans clad in blue jerseys lined Marine Drive, fervently waving the Indian tricolour and chanting slogans to celebrate the team’s arrival.
The air resonated with chants of “Mumbaicha Raja Kaun? Rohit Sharma” (Who’s the King of Mumbai? Rohit Sharma), highlighting the adoration for the team captain. The airport was equally abuzz with fans, as the Indian team was treated to a grand red carpet reception upon their arrival. Players walked through an aerobridge draped in the national flag, showered with flower petals, and were welcomed with traditional Maharashtrian music featuring Dhol Tasha, Tutari, and Lezim.
The festivities culminated in a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the joyous occasion and the nation’s pride in the Men in Blue’s remarkable achievement.
