Headline: Kendrick Lamar to Headline Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans
Kendrick Lamar, widely regarded as one of the most impactful rappers of his generation, is set to perform at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show in New Orleans, according to an NFL announcement made on Sunday. The 37-year-old rapper, known for his profound influence on the music world, expressed his excitement, saying, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
Lamar has an impressive array of accolades, including 17 Grammy Awards, 29 BET Awards, and a historic Pulitzer Prize for music in 2018, making him the first artist outside classical or jazz to receive the honor. The halftime show will be co-executive produced by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins.

Although Lamar has not released a new album since his 2022 project, “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers,” his earlier works, such as his 2012 triple platinum-certified album, “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City,” continue to solidify his legacy.
Super Bowl LIX is scheduled for February 9, 2024. This will be Lamar’s second Super Bowl performance, following his appearance at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, where he shared the stage with other prominent hip-hop artists.
