East Zone Paediatric Nephrology Conference 2024 Hosted at NEIGRIHMS
Shillong, Sep 8: NEIGRIHMS was a hive of activity on Saturday as it hosted the eagerly awaited East Zone Paediatric Nephrology Conference 2024. Organized by the Department of Paediatrics, the event drew a diverse group of experts and participants.
Headed by Dr. Himesh Barman, Professor and Department Head, alongside Dr. Rosina Ksoo, Associate Professor, and Dr. Mampy Das, Assistant Professor, the conference served as a platform for insightful discussions on critical paediatric nephrology topics. He underscored the urgent need for a dedicated Paediatric Nephrology unit at NEIGRIHMS, and outlined a vision for launching a DM Residency programme in Paediatric Nephrology in the near future. The conference also featured esteemed national faculty, such as Dr. Anil Vasudevan from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and Dr. Valentine Lobo from KEM Hospital, Pune. Their presence added immense value to the event.
