ASSEB Free Duplicate Marksheets & Certificates for Assam Flood Victims
The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced a temporary relief measure to issue duplicate academic documents free of cost to students who lost records in the recent floods that affected Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts. The waiver covers duplicate Pass Certificates, Admit Cards, Marksheets and Registration Cards issued for HSLC/AHM and Higher Secondary final examinations, the board said in an official notification.
Eligible students can apply online through the respective official portals: HSLC/AHM candidates should use the SEBA Services portal, while Higher Secondary applicants must apply via the AHSEC portal. The board has simplified documentation: a police report is not required. Instead, applicants need to upload a self-declaration stating they were affected by the floods.
In its notification, ASSEB described the fee waiver as a temporary special relief measure intended to help affected students recover lost academic records without financial burden. The board’s move aims to speed up replacement of essential documents that students often need for admissions, employment and other official purposes.
Applicants are advised to follow the instructions on the SEBA Services and AHSEC portals for submission details and required formats for the self-declaration. HSLC refers to the High School Leaving Certificate, while Higher Secondary denotes the class 12 final examination level.
