New Delhi, June 17, 2026 — US automaker Tesla on Wednesday opened its fifth Experience Centre in Hyderabad’s HITEC City, giving customers a first look at the new 2026 Model Y Premium Rear‑Wheel Drive and the Model Y L. The centre will host guided walkarounds and immersive product demonstrations led by Tesla Advisors, the company said.
Tesla has also begun vehicle deliveries and after‑sales services from a facility in the Bollaram Industrial Area to support owners across Telangana. In a statement, the company said the Experience Centre is designed to let “customers learn about Tesla’s design philosophy, cutting‑edge electric vehicle technology, safety features, and performance capabilities in an interactive environment.”
Both Model Y variants are available to order on Tesla’s official website. Customers who place orders by June 30, 2026 will receive a complimentary Wall Connector, the company said. Tesla further said it provides home charging support across all Indian states to ease ownership and charging setup.
Tesla highlighted that both models have earned top safety ratings from multiple global agencies, including NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C‑IASI in China.
The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear‑Wheel Drive offers seating for five, power‑folding rear seats and 2,138 litres of cargo space. Tesla lists a WLTP range of up to 500 km and 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.9 seconds. In India the Model Y Premium RWD is priced at Rs 50,89,000, with a down payment of Rs 6 lakh and EMIs starting from Rs 39,990; deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2026.
The Model Y L is presented as an all‑wheel‑drive family SUV, with a WLTP range of up to 681 km, 0–100 km/h in 5 seconds and cargo capacity up to 2,539 litres. The Experience Centre opening marks another step in Tesla’s retail expansion in India as it ramps up sales and support operations.
